CORE RESTAURANT

Typically found in high traffic locations where our Guests are travelling on foot or by car / public transport. Brand adjacencies are key as we’re not a destination and this may be Retail Parks; Supermarkets or Business & Industry areas. ​

The sites must have great visibility and enough internal space for seating meaning we can cater for those Guests who want to enjoy their Subway in-store as well as those who want to grab & go or order through one of our delivery partners. ​

Sidwell Street in Exeter opened back in 2002, It sits on the High Street amongst independent and global food brands; serving the local community and trading 24/7. It was remodelled in 2022 with our latest Fresh Forward design. ​

Format Review

Kiosk / counter

Benefiting from a much smaller footprint, these formats are perfect environments where shared seating is available or where Guests are not looking for a dine-in experience. They are typically impulse consumers looking for a great tasting meal with speed and convenience being key. A great example will be a food court in a shopping centre; motorway services or a petrol station.​

Subway also works well in sites like university campuses, healthcare facilities and travel hubs. Any high traffic locations with multiple signage opportunities, especially if we are a concession inside a larger development. Logistics to support take-away sales need to be carefully considered to allow delivery drivers quick and easy access to the restaurant.​

Format Review

Drive thru

Landmark locations on main arterial routes; busy commuter roads or larger retail / business parks. Visibility as well as access / egress are essential. ​

Loyal and digital savvy Guests visiting this format value the convenience of a Drive-Thru but still want the brand experience of a restaurant. ​

This Drive-Thru in Swindon encapsulates these success criteria and opened back in 2019. It is located adjacent to a global coffee brand; big box retailers and at the base of a large branded value hotel with extensive free, shared parking.
